Because I read something on tumblr that pissed me off.



Seriously guys, like what the fuck is with all this stupid racial shit? Why does everything have to come down to race?

PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE. STOP MAKING IT ABOUT WHAT FUCKING COLOR SOMEONE IS. OR WHAT GENDER. OR WHAT SEXUAL ORIENTATION.

THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE IF PEOPLE REALIZED THAT IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER.

The thing I read on Tumblr, about how most slash fandom is about the two white leads, and how the rest of the characters get shunted off if they happen to be people of a different race/color/gender/ what-the-fuck-ever? Yeah. THAT IS SUCH SHIT.

I don't ship Steve/Danny or Steve/Tony, or Dean/Cas or any of my other ships because they're the white leads. Or whatever. I ship it because they have good fucking chemistry, and they very clearly care about each other, and have a very strong connection IN THE SHOW. OR IN THE COMICS.

It has nothing to do with anything other than that. Just. It pisses me off. Stop judging people by the color of their skin, or their accent, or their gender, or their sexuality.

Just stop.

I think the real problem is that there are so few shows that have men of color in lead roles. It's hard to complain that we slash only the white guys when the main roles are 95% filled with white guys. :/

I hear you. The characters really have to have good chemistry before I ship them, it doesn't have anything to do with their color or race or whatever. Some people are just so stupid. :(
