Sooo, this is the digital painting I've been working on since yesterday. There's a lot wrong with it (the face is too fat) but I'm pretty content with it. Okay no, that's a lie, but I'm content enough to post it. It shows clear improvement, and I could spot my own mistakes, so there's improvement there, too, and I'll be able to steer clear of those problems next go 'round.

So yes, River Song, who I love. The reference I used was from the scene in 'Good Man Goes To War' where the Doctor finds out who she is. ♥

I was bored, and did a monster-meme. This is kind of-sort of the result, but not really. The original idea was a lot more monster-ish, and mis-matched with different creature parts than this guy.

Still, I had fun with him.

I imagine they live in groups, on the muddy banks of rivers like the Mississippi, and the Nile. They're highly venomous, and will eat anything they can catch. They can slither, or crawl, and are very good swimmers.

The muzzle-contraption on his mouth is actually part of his head, not a separate thing. They hear very well, making some sort of sound a la bats with their echo-location thing. Don't see very well.

The feather is part of the coming-of-age thing. That, and the carved fangs signify age/prowess/wisdom/standing in the group/as a hunter. This one would still be a juvenile.

I was bored, and the picture I was working on wasn't cooperating, so I drew fanart instead.

My first digital painting of Sherlock. There are lots of things wrong with it, of course, but I'm pretty proud of how it came out, given that I'm still really, really new at drawing people. Practice makes perfect, as they say. I'm trying to draw at least one portrait/full-body human piece a day so that I can improve.

A piece of Tkini; not necessarily 'from' Tkini, though. The words came to me with the picture, and it was just something I had to do, because they are very true, in my experience. I used Tempest because I've put more into him in the last nine years than I would have in any sort of 'fursona' representation of myself. Take from this what you will; it has a multitude of meanings, and each one is probably different for us all.
