Okay, so this started out as a comment-and-a-half-fic for [livejournal.com profile] ms_notebook for the Five Acts Round Six.

The prompt was 'seeing the dead.'

That fic is here.

I was going to just tweak it a bit, and post it for everyone, but then I started that, and it turned into a like..Four-hour writing session wherein I ended up with this, and then went to bed. So I figured I would post this version here, too!

Still for [livejournal.com profile] ms_notebook. Hope you like this version, too.

Okay, then. So, apparently I have some John post-Reichenbach feels to share with everyone. I was not previously aware of this.

You can all blame [livejournal.com profile] mwffj for this, just so you know. I asked for prompts, and got:
"You're gone, gone, gone away,
I watched you disappear.
All that's left is a ghost of you.
Now we're torn, torn, torn apart,
there's nothing we can do,
Just let me go, we'll meet again soon.

"Little Talks"---Of Monsters and Men

...Not sure how well it actually fits with that prompt, but it did inspire it, so...

Also. I have no idea if you actually wanted something this ridiculously angst-ridden, but. Well. ♥

No beta, or brit-pick. All mistakes are mine.

John doesn't know what he's doing anymore. )

Okaay.

Uhm. I didn't plan this. I had no actual idea I was going to write this, to be honest. I was sitting here, thinking about The Reichenbach Fall, and going 'Oh, John. YOU POOR THING' and then. This happened?

First Sherlock fic, please to be remembering that, and being gentle. I have...No idea about characterization, okay? If I did get something wrong, you think, please at least tell me why you think it's wrong. ♥ Con-crit is always welcome.

DON'T JUDGE ME. IT ISN'T LIKE WE DIDN'T ALL KNOW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN.

SPOILERS FOR 2.03 TRF.

He gets by )
